Websites and servers go down. Our DNS Failover is designed to automatically route traffic to servers that are up and running with little or no interruption.
DNS Failover is a great solution to keep your website up at all times by using more than one network. A website address gets translated to an IP address and to specific server(s) at some location. But there can exist many servers at different locations on different networks. If a location goes down for any reason, DNS Failover removes that location IP address from the DNS table so page requests are no longer directed to that server.
DNS Failover is a best solution currently available to keep your site up and running at all times. Of course the traffic redirection is dependent on TTL (time to live). The redirection can take anywhere from 5 seconds to 24 hours. But that is still far better than getting error 503 not found web site. Except for a few ISP provider this soltuion still works best and every web site administrator should consider some form of DNS Failover solution.
